Welcome to GTFD The federation undertakes many types of activities concerned with agriculture field. Being co-operative, Federation has adopted trend to weight more on services than profit.
GTFD began distribution of fertilizers since 14th August, 1985. With the inception of Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemical Ltd in 1985 was appointed as its principal distributors in Kheda and Anand districts of Gujarat State. Gradually GTFD converted into a multi commodity federation from single commodity federation. Now GTFD is principal distributor for Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemical Ltd, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd, Indian Farmers Fertilizers Co. Op. Ltd, Indian Potash Ltd, Krishak Bharati Co-operative Ltd, GSFC Agrotech Ltd, Nirma Ltd, Pruthvi Bio-organic and few more.
The federation adopted the policy of distribution of fertilizers through co-operative networks only. The distribution channel is exclusively through co-operative societies. Federation has thus set up with primary societies at village level which forms the broad base which includes multipurpose and service cooperative societies and Government of Gujarat had accepted this policy.
Since 1996 the federation is engaged in production of bio-fertilizers and wormy compost to support and promote farmers for organic farming.
