As part of federation’s continuous effort to improve the socio-economic conditions and livelihood of dairy farmers, federation has come out with various schemes to increase cattle holding per farmer thereby their income.

Our federation provides technical support to milk producers on Scientific Animal Husbandry practices and also facilitates loan disbursement from banks to the needy by guaranteeing the loan repayment on behalf of farmers.

So far, under various projects and government schemes, thousands of farmers are covered to increase the cattle holding size from small to medium size. The project envisages encouraging the farmers to use high yielding animals and modern aids to increase milk production.

INTEGRATED DAIRY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (IDDP)

For the small, BPL (Below Poverty Line) & tribal beneficiaries, the purchase of milch animals & the provision of infrastructure Tribal development department of government has granted subsidized loans for this program.

DAIRY ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

To get success in business it is most necessary to have basic training. In our area milk producers make business more profitable by their experience & with the technical guide line of experts & they may get encouraged & may expand their business.

Our federation has launched five days intensive training program for dairy farmers. Under this program our experts give training on full technical details & for more perceptible knowledge through visit to big scale successful dairy farm in other districts. Every month experts from our federation will fulfill the farm consultancy during their perceptible visit to their farm to make profitable animal husbandry business faster.

SUBSIDY BENEFIT TO THE FARMERS UNDER DAIRY ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM OF NABARD

“Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Project is being implemented under the National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). Main aim of the project is to encourage the milk producer for adventure & to make our business to economic form.

During the year, loans were being provided at low interest rate to purchase the animal to make our business vigorous. In addition, union has tried to get subsidy as per norms on the loan given by NABARD to the members (25% for general category & 33.33% for SC / ST category) those who have purchased minimum two & maximum ten animals.

With respect to above scheme, our federation support farmers to get the benefit to purchase the animal by taking loan from various bank of our region under dairy entrepreneurship develop scheme.
